What is it?
Artificial turf is a surface of synthetic fibers that looks like real grass. Originally developed for use in sports arenas that were played on grass, it is now used on residential lawns and also commercial applications.
The fibers are usually made from nylon, polypropylene or polyethylene and are connected to a backing material.
Although most people use the terms turf and artificial grass interchangeably, there is a slight difference in the texture and height: turf is used to describe grass used for sports arenas and artificial grass for landscape grass which is usually longer and fluffier
